How often to pass the inspection
In Kazakhstan the frequency of mandatory technical inspection depends on the age and purpose of the vehicle.
- Private cars (category M1) up to 7 years old — no mandatory inspection
- Cars older than 7 years — inspection every year
- Taxis, buses and commercial vehicles — stricter rules, inspections are more frequent
- Driving without a valid inspection is a fineable offence
Inspection and OGPO
No inspection card is required to buy an OGPO policy — you can get the insurance online at any time.
However, driving a car that is due for inspection without a valid card is a separate violation, unrelated to insurance.

What do I need to get a quote?
